Pathfinder Family Meeting Recap – October 5, 2025

Capital City Satellites Pathfinder Club held its Family Meeting on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 9:30 am to review plans for the new club year, share upcoming event dates, and ensure all families are prepared for another exciting year of growth and service.

📋 Club Registration

• Registration forms must be submitted by October 5. If you haven't filled yours out yet, please do so by visiting: https://www.ccsatellites.org/join

• Membership Dues:

  • $140 – New Pathfinders & TLTs

  • $100 – Returning Pathfinders & TLTs

  • Payments can be made by cash, check, or online.

  • Dues can be paid in installments if needed.

🕒 Club Meetings

• Schedule:

  • 1st & 3rd Sundays: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • 4th Sabbath: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• There are 24 total meetings (Sundays & Saturdays) this year. Pathfinders are should strive to attend all club meetings. Pathfinders are required to attend at least 19 clubs to get to qualify for Investiture.

• Please notify staff in advance of any absences.

🙏 Spiritual Discovery

• Objective: Develop robust devotional practices and aid in finishing the personal growth section of the Investiture Achievement workbook.

• Held on the 1st & 3rd Sabbaths each month at 11 am

• Attendance is optional, but Pathfinders who do not attend must complete the devotion covered during that session by Sunday following the 1st or 3rd Sabbath.

🥁 Drum Corps

• Recruiting new members this year!

• Practices: 1st & 3rd Sundays | 1:00 – 2:30 PM.

• Members must bring their own pads, and sticks. These can be purchased on amazon.

• Drum Corps Uniform - The club provides the ascot, cord, and beret for performances.

  • Optional purchase: ~$40 if you prefer your own set.

💛 Fundraising

We’re inviting all Pathfinders and parents to support our Pathfinder 4 Life Fundraising Campaign! Visit the Donate page on our website for details on how you can participate.

👕 Uniform

Parents were reminded of Class A and Class B uniform standards.

• Class A Dress Uniform:

  • Pathfinder short sleeve khaki blouse (girls)

  • Pathfinder long sleeve khaki shirt (boys),

  • Black Pants/Skirt

  • White gloves

  • Black tie

  • Oxford black shoes

  • Pathfinder belt

  • Black beret with Pathfinder triangle,

  • Long black socks (boys)/Ultra Sheer black stockings (girls)

• Class B Uniform

  • Satellites Purple T-Shirt or Hoodie

  • black or blue jeans and black sneakers (no crocs).

  • If wearing a hoodie, it should be layered over the t-shirt.

• Drum Corps - Class A Dress Uniform

  • Black pants for girls/boys

  • Purple beret, Ascot and braid

** Jewelry, head scarves, and do-rags should not be worn with your Class A or Class B uniform.**

Parents, supporters, and staff also have the option to purchase additional Pathfinder merchandise that’s not covered by the annual dues. Show your Pathfinder pride and support our ministry with these items!

📘 Classwork

• Pathfinder Investiture Achievement workbook is on the Classkick platform.

• During club meeting your Pathfinder should brings a tablet or laptop to meetings to complete their work on Classkick.

• Each Pathfinder must:

  • Memorize monthly Bible verses (posted on the website).

  • Read one Bible book this year — you can listen along together on YouTube or Bible apps!

📅 Highlighted Upcoming Events

• Pathfinder Day: October 25, 2025

• Veterans Day Parade: November 10, 2025

• Friendsgiving Dinner: November 16, 2025 – Parents are asked to donate a dish. A signup list will be sent via Punchbowl.

• Induction Service: January 24 , 2026 – during Midday Divine Service.

  • Parents are responsible for purchasing the Class A Uniform for your Pathfinder. All necessary items can be acquired through Advent Source. Additionally, for your convenience, the store Lodges on Pearl Street in Albany, NY offers a selection of boys’ uniform pants, socks, gloves, and girls' stockings.

  • All Pathfinders are required to wear a black dress oxford shoe, if you're unable to find the shoes locally, you can check Amazon or Walmart.com.
